Character Notes: Mewtwo's canon will start while he is still working for Giovanni.
History: Many years ago, Team Rocket, Giovanni's criminal organization which seeks to rule the world by using Pokemon as weapons, found out that Mew, the ancestor of all Pokemon, was living in Guyana. Giovanni sent in a group of Rocket members to see if they could find Mew or any fossils that he could use. They succeeded in finding an eyelash that belonged to Mew. Giovanni approached Dr. Fuji, a man that was working as a scientist for Team Rocket to raise the funds to attempt to clone his deceased daughter ,Amber. Giovanni ordered Fuji to create a powerful clone from the DNA of Mew.
One month after the discovery of the eyelash, Mewtwo was successfully created. Mewtwo was stored at New Isalnd for further research. During this time, Giovanni and Fuji believed that Mewtwo was sleeping. The truth was that Mewtwo was using it's telepathic abilities to speak to other clones in the lab. Among these clones where a Squirtle, a Bulbasaur, a Charmander, and the clone of Amber. Amber taught Mewtwo about the world and its' beauty. Sadly, the life-force of the clones was much weaker than Mewtwo's and they all died. This caused Mewtwo extreme mental anguish and they had to put him under to keep him from blowing up the lab.
Eventually, Mewtwo grew to full maturity. He experienced a dream while in his deep and long sleep in which he saw Mew flying through beautiful scenery. When Mewtwo awoke though, he found himself inside of a tube in the lab. Mewtwo broke out in an attempt to gain freedom. The scientists who created Mewtwo were thrilled to see that he was a success. Mewtwo asked what they would need of him other than just being in hopes that he could find a purpose. The scientist simply said that this was just the beginning as they needed to run more tests on Mewtwo. Mewtwo came to believe that they just saw him as some kind of science experiment and he became enraged and attacked the scientists and blew up the lab.
Giovanni landed soon after the explosion and approached Mewtwo. He extended a hand in aid of Mewtwo but Mewtwo, at first, refused his offer believing that a human could never help him. But Giovanni was able to convince him by telling Mewtwo that he could help him learn to focus his powers. Giovanni gave Mewtwo power armor to enhance and focus his powers and told Mewtwo that if he learned to control his powers then he will learn his purpose. Thus began Mewtwo's work with Giovanni.
Personality: Mewtwo is a deeply confused character. He has no idea what the purpose of his existance is and he is searching vigorously to find the truth of his existance. Because of this, Mewtwo can be very philospohical and questioning. He will also go to great lengths to find out any clue as to what his purpose is, which is why he is working for Giovanni. He has no problem with causing harm to others if he can get clues. This said, Mewtwo refuses to be controlled by anyone. The only reason he is working for Giovanni is because he promised Mewtwo not only to teach him to control his powers as well as reveal his purpose but because he said that he and Mewtwo would be partners and equals.
Mewtwo has a superiority complex which was fed to him as soon as he awoke to the world. He believes that he is the most powerful Pokemon in existence, even stronger than his other self, Mew. Mewtwo looks down on many others because he knows how powerful he is and openly flaunts his power and intelligence. He can be quite egotistical towards others and even takes pleasure in causing others to be flustered. Mewtwo is less egotistical to those that he knows has a similar past as him as he feels sympathy towards them.
Mewtwo can be quite stubborn in that he believes that his judgment is the best and is nearly flawless. It is hard to get him to see things in a different light because of this and only good arguments will really get through to him if he deeply believes in what he is arguing about. This causes Mewtwo to act cold and sometimes mean spirited towards others. His attitude turns even worse if he believes that he is justified in acting this way to others.
Mewtwo has a natural distrust and anger, borderline hatred, towards humans due to what he has experienced. This extends to humanoid but not human characters of all kinds and he will continue to distrust them even after he learns that they are not actually human. Those that are obviously not human will not feel the full brunt of his distrust and anger. With time, Mewtwo can open up to others though this is still a tough task due to Mewtwo's personal issues. That said, those that Mewtwo views as friends will not feel his anger and distrust even if they are human.
Mewtwo is actually quite insecure due to all that has happened to him. Mewtwo's greatest insecurity is that he doesn't know what his purpose in life is. This causes Mewtwo to lash out in anger when his purpose in life is called into question. Mewtwo is also extremely bitter about being a clone. He is easy enraged when it is brought up and will either lash out or demand solitude to be alone with his thoughts.
Other: Mewtwo is an extremely powerful psychic type Pokemon. Mewtwo speaks with telepathy and can read minds, even effect people's minds to force them to do things they normally wouldn't and erase memories. I will throw up a permission post when I get in so Mewtwo doesn't mess everyone up too badly. Mewtwo also can use telekinesis to harm others and protect himself from extremely damaging attacks. He can also fly via levitation and can move through space. His psychic powers also seem to work over large distances. Mewtwo is a super genius, having an IQ higher than any normal human and some super humans.

A camera feed starts showing Mewtwo in his normal power armor. While you can't see his eyes you can feel them burrowing into you. There is a silence before he begins to speak.
"I have a question. How does one go about finding their purpose in life? I know that this is not the easiest of questions as it appears to be different for each individual. However, I cannot stand this burrowing question anymore. I have been told that my purpose was to be an experiment to further the research of scientists." A little bit of static appears on the feed as a slight but powerful aura surrounds Mewtwo as he says this. "But I refuse to believe that is my destiny." The aura resides as you hear Mewtwo sigh heavily. "As much as I hate to admit it, I am having problems finding my answer alone. That is why I am asking you all for you assistance. Anything you can give me can greatly aid me in my search. I will be waiting for you answers."

Mewtwo stands in the darkness of his holding area, connected to wires plugged into his power armor. It is late, possibly past midnight but he can not sleep. He looks around the area with hard eyes. I hate this place. Every day it feels more and more like a prison, a cage to keep me in place. An image of the beautiful scenary that he saw when he awoke passes through his mind. Why? Why can't I be out there? Why must I remain confined to this place? Because this is the place that Giovanni told me to stay in case my powers went out of control? Mewtwo's eyes glow slightly as he thinks of the man he is working with. I know who he is. I know of this Team Rocket which he leads. Criminals, all of them. So how can I trust him? He said he could teach me my purpose as soon as I master my abilities but how do I know that he will? Should I just trust him? Mewtwo snorts a little and shakes his head. No. To let my guard down around him might be disastrous. I can't blindly trust him. However, he is the only clue I have to finding my purpose. Mewtwo looks down and to the side for a beat. Mewtwo soon looks upwards at the ceiling. I will follow him...for now. I will see if he is truly trustworthy as soon as I master my abilities. And once he reveals my purpose I shall leave. After all, he will have nothing to offer me which I want afterwards. But, if I find out that he has been using me... Mewtwo clenches his three fingers into his equivalent of a fist. I will make him pay dearly.
